HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN IN COMING SUMMERS?
- Clean your face regularly: Wash your face twice a day with a cleanser suitable for your skin type. This will help you to remove the excessive sebum and dirt accumulated on the face. Oily skin will need a sebum control facewash where as dry skin will be needing a hydrating facewash.
- Use of antioxidant serums: Serums containing antioxidants like vit c, a, e, niacinamide, etc. should be included in the our daily skin care regime. This helps to fight the oxidative stress and free radicals in the body which helps to reduce the unevenness and pigmentation due to harsh sun exposure and hormonal imbalances.
- Moisturization: This is one important step to keep your skin hydrated for long hours as summer heat can give you parched skin. Daily moisturization prevents drying of the skin. Dry skin is more prone to ageing so extra care should be taken during summers.
- Application of sunscreen: Sunscreen with a high SPF is a must in your every day skin care routine. It shields your skin from sunburns and hyperpigmentation. You can choose your sunscreen according to your skin type and need to apply every 3-4 hours a day. Also apply a lip balm containing spf under your lipstick.
- Minimum makeup: Heavy makeup along with sebum, sweat and dirt on the skin tends to clog the pores. So keeping it all minimal in summers will let your skin breathe!!
- Hydrate yourself: Keep yourself hydrated by drinking ample of water, juices and glucose to retain energy and to keep your skin radiant and soft.
- Accessories and clothing: Wear loose cotton fabrics for aeration, wear caps or hats to cover your face and eyes from the scorching heat, sunglasses can also be worn for the same. Sun coat should be worn by those who travel for various reasons to avoid tanning.
